Array won't accept hard drive after raid recovery

Featured Replies

I have a Dell R710 with a Perc 6 raid card running 6.3.3. After a reboot today the raid card lost the configuration for my drives and showed them as foreign. I restored to foriegn array when I booted up unraid I noticed that the array would not accept any of the drives in the missing drives section because the names had change during the recovery. Unfortunately I can't force it to take the drives and now I don't even which drives were which disk number. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's way a RAID controller should not be used with unRAID.

Do a new config (tools -> new config) and assign all disks as data disks, start the array and if only one is unmountable that's your parity, if there are more post the diagnostics.
