Hi guy's,

I have this in my log all of a sudden.

kernel: ata15.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x6 frozen
kernel: ata15.00: failed command: WRITE DMA EXT
kernel: ata15.00: cmd 35/00:40:b8:4f:55/00:05:8e:02:00/e0 tag 25 dma 688128 out
kernel: res 40/00:01:00:4f:c2/00:00:00:00:00/00 Emask 0x4 (timeout)
kernel: ata15.00: status: { DRDY }
kernel: ata15: hard resetting link

kernel: ata15.00: configured for UDMA/133
kernel: ata15: EH complete
afpd[8026]: dsi_stream_read: len:0, unexpected EOF

How do I find what disk ata15 is and what could be causing it? it is only happening intermittently 1 at 11:23 then 13:47, 13:48 and 13:49 and none since.

it is an array of 10 disk's and 1 Parity running V6.3.5

I have attached a copy of the syslog

Thank you,

Check the SMART report, if all looks good check/replace cables first.

Thank you,

I found the issue to be with the PICe -SATA card Addonics AD10SA6GPX2 in the tower, I changed all cables but that was no good. Ithen changed the configuration of the cables and was getting the same error just on another drive. I changed them around again and the issue followed. I changed that cable again just to check that it defiantly was not that and sure enough same error. I run out and bought the X-Sonic FG-EJ363 and installed that. Seems to be all going good now. My next step is to upgrade the SATA card now that is where the issue is.

Thank you
