New motherboard problem.

Featured Replies

Hello,

I had to replace my motherboard (from Intel 6th gen to 7th gen) on my Unraid 6 server. I've plugged back the SATA connectors and created a new USB flash drive. When I boot from the USB drive, it seems that my Unraid configuration is gone when I log in on the web interface. Is my data all gone ? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Nicolas.

Why? If you use the original drive, everything should come up exactly like it was.

My bad, I wasn't able to boot on the USB stick and I thought it was a USB problem. I formated it (grats to me...) Now, I'm trying to recover the files they were on the config folder. Is that thte right approach ?

Well, i fixed up my mess. I was able to recover the deleted files from the USB stick with Recuva, booted in safe mode (without plugins). In the newly formated USB stick, I copied all these files except network.cfg and was able to spin the array again.
