cant use docker when moving data

Featured Replies

Hi yes as it say I have a big problem when I move data to my unraid server I cant use my dockere  things crashplan plex you name it all
I have ask on unraid reddit
reddit user "4RXMT3F"   think it this "I have that issue too, and my UnRAID server is pretty powerful. It seems to come down to iowait. High iowaitmeans the system is bogged down waiting on the drives. Everything else becomes very slow or unresponsive when I'm doing large network transfers to the array."
Are ther any on here there know a fix ?

I think it would help if we knew more.  Is this a new setup?  Did it ever work?  Do you use a cache drive?  Is it an SSD?  Is your docker image on said cache drive?  Are the shares you are copying data to set to use cache?

I literally move 100s of Gigs per day with no issues....

Is this a new setup? : yes and no this one is but it do it also on my old
 Did it ever work? :No
Do you use a cache drive? : Yes but it the same with out cache drive
Is it an SSD? : no it are a 2TB green  but if you see the reddit one guy use say he use one and have the same problem
Is your docker image on said cache drive?   yes it on the cache drive

I have experienced this as well with my two WD Red (5200 rpm) drives in raid1.

I no longer have busy shares on my cache pool so it's not an issue for me at the moment but it is an issue that for sure exists for slower drives. :(
