Can no longer upgrade unraid, kernel panic

Featured Replies

Every new version I try and everytime I get a kernel panic and have to revert. Looks like I'm stuck on 6.2.4 which sucks because I'm sure there are some bugs that would be nice to get fixed. Anything I can do about this, seems kind of shitty to have paid for a license and now the hardware isn't supported.

Without a comprehensive list of installed hardware, and diagnostics / screenshots of the panic, not much anyone can do to help  :(

What Squid said. Without diagnostics from an upgraded version of unRaid no one can help you to help yourself.

Things to try that have resolved similar issues for others:

1) run MakeBootable with the newer version

2) run checkdisk on your unraid boot thumbdrive from a WinOS system

3) try running newer version on a different bootable thumbdrive

What's the best way to get this info? Since it panics I can't login via ssh to copy logs, is there a way I can get them from the stick if plugged into another computer?

Unfortunately no.  Panics would only be displayed on the local attached monitor and not logged.  Pic's and/or a video might help.

But, what @BRiT said in his post, and what I said in mine is still valid.
