unRAID freezing and needing hard reboot. No telnet or GUI

Featured Replies

As posted in the unRAID OS version 6.4.0-rc7a available release thread, same exact issue with the newest version of 6.4.0-rc8q  Random freezing that requires a hard reboot.

I assume others have had this issue too.  If there's any testing requested, please respond.  If not, stable release for the foreseeable future.

I have not.  I posted the issue and reverted back so I had a functioning server.

If I were to upgrade again and run in safe mode, what would I need to take note of?

In safemode plugins and extra packages are not installed, just want to make sure it isn't caused by these.

I have two systems on 6.4 and neither has a freezing GUI.

Ps. No telnet at the same time as no GUI sounds like a network related issue.

It seems to happen more often than not while tinkering with dockers.  But other times I'll wake up in the morning and it'll have crashed over night.

I can run this test at night to see what happens.  Any type of diagnostics I should run?

Do your docker containers use the new custom network capability (macvlan) or are your containers still using host / bridge connections?

Host/Bridge

As an aside, when I reverted back to 6.3.5 this time, I lost all of my VM XML files.   I restored through the unRAID GUI > Tools page.  I had to restore from backup.
