Help: Setting up youtube-dl docker

Featured Replies

I've managed to setup a few non CA dockers before, but this one has got me stumped.  Can someone help me setup a youtube-dl docker, or share a screenshot of their settings screen please.

There's a couple in here with over 100K downloads, so I'm hoping someone has done this and setup youtube-dl.conf with custom options.  I've managed to get the windows version working, but I'd much rather use this in a docker.

There's a new project I stumbled across on reddit called Liquid-dl that looks promising:  https://github.com/Kthulu120/liquid_dl

Options are still pretty basic, but it looks like it could become a very useful tool and they already have an unraid-friendly version.  Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but may be worth looking at how the container was created?

gave it a quick try this morning, but couldn't get it to work - could have been me.

I found this though - https://github.com/MrS0m30n3/youtube-dl-gui

I'd got the CLI version of youtube-dl working, but I like the fact that the gui allows you to queue downloads and select different download folders easily. I've been making playlists on youtube of stuff the family likes, and then all you have to is enter the playlist or video url and it downloads automatically.

It would make a nice little docker if someone took this on

I don't suppose one of the many CA docker template authors could make this for unRAID, please? @binhex @linuxserver.io
