strange problem - cache drive gets full of data from one of my shares

Featured Replies

As the titel said,

my cache ssd is getting constantly filled to the max, with data of my media share, and it looks like that it gets moved to cache not copied or something, but i realy don't have a clue why it is happening.

The Media share normaly is set to "prefere" using cache,

for now i disabled the cache on the media share and using crusader docker to move the 118gb data back to the array,

but as i didn't realised the first time it happened that its not a copie of data, i erased the folder on cache and now i have lost like 100gb auf data because i'm a idiot... my whole ebook and tutorial collection -_-

but why is this happening what could cause such a behavior ? didn't had this problem ever before/ last 4 month

i hope i could make the understandable, greetings from germany

well, i'm a idiot ...thx for clarification

I'm having the same issue, yet mine is set to Yes. Any where else I can look?

I've tried manually running the mover.  When I display folders in the share via the unRaid GUI, I do see that some of them are using the cache drive, which has been there from day one and always set to yes.

EDIT:: Currently investigating split settings. Will update results.

ANSWER:: Yup.  Split was set too tight so it kept files on cache (Had it set to 3 levels, i just opened it right up and said split whatever you want).
