Hello i never installed a parity drive but i got a drive i want to put as my parity but i want that drive to be in slot 1 drive bay  which already has another drive with data on it. is it safe to take that drive out and put it in another drive bay as long as i select it when i start the array?

    Drives are kept track by their serial number - so they can be anywhere in the case.  I did this with mine to put parity in slot 1
