Cache Drive Stopped Moving Files Off

Featured Replies

My cache drive has stopped moving files off of itself and onto my other drives. I have a 300gig cache and it only has 40gig left. It's been acting this way for about a week and I'm afraid of what will happen when it gets to no space left! I've tried clicking 'Move Now' over the past few days and I can see the reads start to slowly go up, but nothing is actually moved.

I'm attaching a screenshot of my home screen. Does anyone know what's going on?

It could be that your share settings are not set up properly to split to the disks with free space? Post your share settings and post a syslog of when your tried to move files manually via the button..

You basically only have one data drive left with enough space on it (the 2 TB Hitachi).  Make sure that your shares are 'allowed' to use that drive (check the 'included and excluded disks' settings on the Shares page), and also make sure that your shares are 'allowed' to use the cache drive.  Finally check that your cache drive is still scheduled to run every night (or however often you want).

When you copy files to your server, you are copying them into user shares, correct?  Not to disk shares or directly to the cache drive?
