Starting unRaid with a temp key -- any problems?

Featured Replies

I'd like to boot my unRaid 6.2.4 with an unregistered USB key that has unRaid 6.3.5 on it.

Will this do anything that will prevent me from going back to using my registered key with 6.2.4 on it? Specifically, will all my data, dockers, and VMs be safe?

The only reason I can think to do that is that you temporarily want to have two unRAID boxes up.  If that is the case, I'd boot the other box with the unregistered USB if that is an option.

The reason is that I was told that the reason I can't upgrade my unRaid without getting panic errors is because of the USB key and that I should try a different key so I want to do a test boot to see if it it fixes it before bothering with a registration switch.
