Flash unassigned - Is anyone else this lucky?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have built myself up an Unraid server, loaded everything across to it while it was on the trial period, paid for Plus registration and literally the day afterwards the flash drive decided it was actually an unassigned device.

The shares that I had previously set up still all work fine, I can access everything just fine and I can still add files to the array.

But all I can now see through the web page for the tower is the banner. None of the tabs show anything.

Does anyone know if there is anything that I can do to fix this issue without doing a forced shut down and replacing the flash drive?

Should I replace the flash drive asap?

Any helpful advice would be welcomed.

Thanks

This can happen when the flash drive drops offline and gets reconnected, it's now sdn, originally it was sda, make sure you're not using a USB 3.0 port.

Thank you.

It is currently in a USB 3.0 port.

So if I do a forced shutdown in the array, swap the flash to a USB 2.0 port and everything should boot up normally?

That would make me a very happy caffeine addict!!

Thank you!!

Yes, but try doing a clean shutdown, SSH into your server and type powerdown
