Drives invisible to unRAID but visible to W10?

Featured Replies

Version 6.3.5

I have a beautifully working unRAID server with 15 devices.

Some of the drives I took from my windows 10 tower system which had an 8 x2 TB array interfaced through a Highpoint 2320 card.

I decided to break that array and use the discs in the server.

The problem is that whilst some of the drives showed up in unRAID and were successfully integrated, some of the other discs won't show up at all.... completely invisible.....

Confused, I put them back in the tower system and, sure enough, they show up on the 2320 Bios as burning and turning hard drives????

I've juggled the drives around in the unRAID system to make sure that I haven't got dead bays in the server, and I haven't.

They all Samsung 2TB drives of the same series, 5 of which working fine in the server, 3 that are ghosts until I put them back in the tower.

I'm flummoxed... any reason why seemingly healthy discs would not show up?

Regards,

Paul
