[6.4.0-rc9f] Unable to Telnet with $ in Password

Featured Replies

Description:

I'm unable to establish a Telnet session with a $ in my password. I set the password via the WebGUI and connect with Putty. Right after typing in my password and clicking enter the session quits. If I change my password to omit the $, it works perfectly

How to reproduce:

Set your password to '$$$Cha-Ching$$$' and try to Telnet into the server

Expected results:

Not quit because of an $

Actual results:

Putty quits

Other information:

I'm guessing the password isn't escaped or something causing an issue with the special $ character in bash.
