September 27, 20178 yr Hello, Lately my server seems to be rebooting on its own, therefore inducing an almost daily parity check and a lot of burden. I can't think of any reason why does this happen. Can somebody here check my logs maybe? novanas2-diagnostics-20170927-0916.zip
September 27, 20178 yr Community Expert Most of the time, this is a hardware failure. You can start by opening up the case and making sure that it and all vents, fans and cooling fins on all heatsinks are clean. Then boot in the safe mode and see if you get a reboot running that way. If you do, I would next do a 24 hours Memory test (an option on the boot menu). If that passes, you are at the proverbial 'hard spot'. It could be a PS, CPU or MB. If you changed out anything recently start there. (Infant morality...) (BTW, I recently had a PS that would shut one of my servers down periodically. Replacing it fixed the problem. PS, with their emphasis on efficiency, are not longer a simple device. They are packed with all sorts of extra monitoring and control circuity that they didn't use to have.)
