[6.3.5] complex email passwords not supported in notifications

Featured Replies

In the SMTP Settings page of Notification configuration, I updated my Gmail account to a new password containing spaces. Test messages failed to log in to Gmail. In this thread, the OP had "special characters" in his password (not sure exactly what that means) for his Yahoo account and unRAID couldn't login there, either.

While I understand that unRAID isn't hardened enough to be exposed directly to the wild, one would think it should support strong passwords for email accounts and not force users to weaken their security elsewhere.

Not sure that it matters, but diagnostics attached per the stickied request.
