October 1, 20178 yr Hello, i am planing to upgrade some of my HHDs for my unraid server - as i was thinking about HGST drives i was overwhelmed with their options of sector sizes and features so what is the optimal sector size for sata III .... 4096 or 512:emulated and what for sas 12GB/s any features like HW encryption and ISE = instant safe erase - do they help or just slow down the performance any idea if there will be a Unraid 64 bit version that supports 64 and 128 GByte of ram cheers alX Edited October 1, 20178 yr by ahab666 added a question
