Kaltar
Hey Guys I have a harddrive that is driving me nuts. As you can see from the attached smat report, it is failing somtimes, and succesfull other times. As some of you may recall I made a post the other day about a faulty drive. So I have been busy copying data away from the drive, and then yesterday I did a server restart, and now, the drives completes a smart check without errors. In my other post, the drive showed some errors in my array, but now it shows none. Can anyone tell me, is the "Raw read error rate" at 349 enough to RMA the drive at WD, it seems to be increasing, but not at a fast rate. I had the same problem back in may, and there the "Raw read error rate" was only at 64. Back then it also had 1 "Current pending sector" but a reformat of the drive took care of that. The short question, is this enough for a RMA at WD or am I stuck with a untrustworthy drive ? tower-smart-20171002-1954.zip Quote Link to comment
