Is there any way to force-restart the docker VM

Recommended Posts

I use docker and have a container that will not stop (the process inside the container is stuck in an uninterruptible sleep state "D"). Is there anyway I can kill the docker VM and restart it without waiting on this container to stop? I can stop the others gracefully (I think) but I'm remote from my server so my normal "fix" for this is a hard reset but I hate doing those to my machine.

Yes.  When you click on the running docker icon (on the dashboard for instance) one of the options on the menu that pops up is "Stop".  Opps should have read your 2nd post better.  Never had that problem myself.  I hope someone else can give you an idea on this one.
