Date and Time on Server

Featured Replies

I noticed the date on my server is off by a day.  Not sure why really but I can't seem to change it under Settings.  Do I have to stop the array to change the time?

If you have "Use NTP" set to yes then you won't be able to set the time manually.  Now that should automatically set your time correctly as long as you have the time zone set correctly.   Maybe someone else has another way for your time to get off but if it isn't a time zone problem I'm out of ideas.

When NTP is used, make sure you have a working Internet connection and working DNS.

I do have a working internet connection, well it's plugged into my modem/router where all my pc's are plugged into.  DNS Server is set to Automatic and has one in there.

Can I put NTP to no, set the time, then put back NTP to Yes and see if it keeps the date...??

Do you have your time zone set correctly? Really sounds like that is the issue.

Yup, it's set to Eastern which is what I'm in.

You can set "Use NTP" to No and manually enter your time/date, but I would recommend these settings-

Those are my settings exactly....

Odd, I set NPT to No, put in a new date and time, and applied.  Now NPT shows as Yes but with the correct date and time, which I put in.  As long as it's right, I'm good.

Thanks

Try changing it back to Yes and ntp.pool.org and see if it's still good. I've noticed with other settings that they sometimes stop working for some reason, but changing any configuration and then resetting it will correct the problem. Maybe the config files are becoming corrupted or something. IDK.
