October 19, 20178 yr hi after years of error free times in unraid I got my first errors with this drive (see smart). there were 201 Errors shown on the Main Tab before I removed it and replaced it. everything is fine. my question is: can I preclear the drive error-free oder something? I'm finishing a two cycle preclear right now, but smartctl still got me this status: thank you for any help or informations smartctl 6.5 2016-05-07 r4318 [x86_64-linux-4.9.30-unRAID] (local build) Copyright (C) 2002-16, Bruce Allen, Christian Franke, www.smartmontools.org === START OF INFORMATION SECTION === Model Family: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 (AF) Device Model: ST3000DM001-9YN166 Serial Number: Z1F1A22L LU WWN Device Id: 5 000c50 04e6234bb Firmware Version: CC4H User Capacity: 3,000,592,982,016 bytes [3.00 TB] Sector Sizes: 512 bytes logical, 4096 bytes physical Rotation Rate: 7200 rpm Device is: In smartctl database [for details use: -P show] ATA Version is: ATA8-ACS T13/1699-D revision 4 SATA Version is: SATA 3.0, 6.0 Gb/s (current: 3.0 Gb/s) Local Time is: Thu Oct 19 16:19:18 2017 CEST SMART support is: Available - device has SMART capability. October 21, 20178 yr A few uncorrectable errors recently, I would replace it, especially considering it the infamous ST3000DM001.
