October 21, 20178 yr Hello all, Have had unraid for several years now, and haven't had any problems, but i'm not sure whats going on here. Description: I have a few shares setup on my server. One share is labeled TV Shows, that I store my TV shows on. Well, I'm getting low on space, and didn't realize the drives I had assigned to the shares were getting low. So it stopped letting me copy files to it. I went to Shares and basically chose to add another disk to that share that was already on the array. That way it would have enough space to accept these new files. After I did that the share file did update showing the new space available on the share, with plenty of room, but when I go to add the files, it only lets me add like 5GB worth, before it says its out of space, and I notice it adding it to Drive 8, instead of drive 5. I even went to the share area, and removed all other disks besides drive 5, and its still trying to add them to drive 8. How to reproduce: change your share disks, and add files to the share disk, then look and see where those files are moving to. Expected results: To move to the disk that I have it set to move to. Actual results: Its moving to the disks I used to have set to. Other information: I have tried to take the array offline, and bring it back up. I tried to reboot the entire server, and nothing has changed. I usually have a cache drive setup, but it wouldnt move off the cache drive because it said out of room, so I pulled the files back off the drive, and tried to disable the cache and readd them, but no go. Please let me know if you need further information. Thanks Chase tower-diagnostics-20171021-1203.zip
October 21, 20178 yr Split level will override the included / excluded disks, and allocation level. Personally, I can't be bothered with split levels as: - I find them confusing as hell - I don't particularly care if Episode 1 of a TV show is on the same disk as Episode 2 Side Note: Absolutely zero reason to ever specify both included and excluded disks, as they are mutually exclusive. There are rules however in place of what to do if they overlap, but easiest to either use one or the other, but not both. Edited October 21, 20178 yr by Squid

I just changed it to split any directory as required and it took care of the issue!! I didn't even think of that, thanks for your time!!
