I added a new disk to my array but I can't add it to my user share.

Featured Replies

I added a new drive and after preclearing it I formatted it in XFS (not intentionally just didn't realize the new default was XFS), the rest of my disks are RFS. Anyway, I tried to include the disk in my used share and it doesn't show up as an option. The new disk is disk 6 and only disks 1-5 are available. I thought the XFS formatting might be an issue so I reformatted using RFS. Below are the settings.

XFS is now the recommended format for array drives.  It is better supported than ReiserFS that is now end-of-life in the Linux world.   There is no problem with using a mix of formats for the drives in the array.

You might want to check Settings->Global Share Settings in case you limited the drives there?

if that is not the issue then I suggest you post the diagnostics zip file (obtained via Tools->Diagnostics) as this gives more information about your system.
