GWEST
I added a new drive and after preclearing it I formatted it in XFS (not intentionally just didn't realize the new default was XFS), the rest of my disks are RFS. Anyway, I tried to include the disk in my used share and it doesn't show up as an option. The new disk is disk 6 and only disks 1-5 are available. I thought the XFS formatting might be an issue so I reformatted using RFS. Below are the settings. Quote Link to comment
Squid
Is it excluded in Settings - Global Share Settings? Oh, and you want it to be XFS. RFS is dead, and no one will ever recommend you to add a new drive as RFS. Doesn't matter if you have a mix of file system types (although it is also recommended to ultimately convert your drives to be XFS - See the sticky in General Support) Edited October 22, 2017 by Squid Quote Link to comment
GWEST
Thanks Squid, that was it. I reformatted back to XFS changed the global share settings and I'm up and flying again. I will also look at converting all drives to XFS. Quote Link to comment
