[email protected]
Can someone help me with how to change my admin user and password? I've had my docker running fine for a few months but now I cannot login as an administrator. I've looked at the /etc/motioneye but am not seeing a user/password in any of the files in that directory. Thanks Quote Link to comment
Nuke
I use https://hub.docker.com/r/djaydev/motioneye/ (deleted) docker. All paths mounted to NVMe disk. When I open motioneye website to watch my camera - both HDDs start spining, in syslog i see read SMART. This is bad. 99.9% of the time my hdd's should sleep. That happens not each time. But each ~12 hours or more. Edited July 1, 2022 by Nuke Quote Link to comment
siemershh
Hello, everyone, I have the problem that Motioneye does not start after installation. It always gives the error message "CRITICAL:root:failed to read settings from "/etc/motioneye/motioneye.conf": [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/motioneye/motioneye.conf'" What do I do wrong or what could I do to make it work? Used the template as is. I just checked there is no motioneye.conf in the configuration path, anyone can tell me where to get it from? Many thanks Quote Link to comment
FoxyNC
I remember also having a bad time making this container to work. Oddly I managed to start it by using small caps in paths: Quote Link to comment

Hey, go to https://github.com/motioneye-project/motioneye/blob/python2/extra/motioneye.conf.sample download the RAW file - rename it (motioneye.conf) and but it in the Appdata/MotionEye/config ;) 1 Quote Link to comment

Nuke
Anyone use it or more new ghcr.io/motioneye-project/motioneye:edge ? One of two disks still spinning up with 50% chance when i open motioneye web interface. Don't understand why - i keep all records only in cache drive without sync to hdd. Quote Link to comment
DaFr0n
Does anyone know how would you install the DEV branch on unraid? Quote Link to comment
miicar
Anyone know how to change a cameras rstp URL after its set up? There doesn't seem to be any way to edit that info once the camera is set up, only copy it. Quote Link to comment
allanp81
Yes, within the motioneye appdata directory you'll see some files named "thread-1.conf", "thread-2.conf" etc. that relate to each camera. In theory stop the docker, identify which config file applies to which camera, make a backup of the file then change the necessary properties in the file and restart the docker. Quote Link to comment
