unraid 6 timemachine backup already in use

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm running high sierra, and I successfully got a time machine backup.  Now when I go to backup again, it shows that the disk is in use.  I'm connecting via AFP.  Does anyone have some suggestions that might work?  I've read on the up to date settings post that high sierra time machine is using SMB instead of AFP.  I didn't try to go that route.  Also, you can limit the size of time machine going that route, and I don't want it to use the whole disk.  My settings are attached.

I seem to have fixed the problem somehow.  I rebooted unraid.  I also made time machine the only AFP share.  Now it seems to be working.
