October 28, 20178 yr Hi Guys. Here is a video tutorial on how to install and setup Calibre and Cops to manage ebooks. Setup multiple databases and email books to your readers. These 2 pieces of software work very well together. This video shows how to install the docker containers and configure them so you can easily manage ebooks on your unRAID server.
October 28, 20178 yr Awesome, can I suggest you take a look at Calibre-Web as well. Very similar to COPS, but has some advantages in ease of setup and not requiring config file editing.
October 29, 20178 yr Another great tutorial video. @CHBMB, thanks for the hint with calibre-web. Really a nice and same web app, with a nice look and feel.
October 29, 20178 yr Author @CHBMB @fanningert thanks, I will take a look at calibre web, cause, yes cops is quite hard to set up. So anything easier if definitely a bonus! Do you know if you can connect to multiple instances of calibre with calibre-web?

October 29, 20178 yr @gridrunner looks like you are not the first one with this question. -> GitHub thread: Use of more than one calibre dbs
October 30, 20178 yr Do you folks do your managing via the server setup? I like to use the Calibre desktop app to do management, then sync to a /media/ebooks share on unRaid, even though it adds a step.

November 2, 20178 yr I'm attempting to get my ipad to connect to the Calibre server and it never seems to connect. Is there a magic way to make this work or could you give me some insight? I'm attempting to use the Calibre Companion on my ipad. This is my mappings from the Docker. 8080/tcp 192.168.7.127:80018081/tcp 192.168.7.127:8002 /Library /mnt/user/Ebooks/Calibre/Library//Downloads /mnt/user/Ebooks/Calibre/Downloads//2import /mnt/user/Ebooks/Book-Uploads//config /mnt/cache/system/appdata/RDP-Calibre I attempted to connect via 192.168.1.127 using ports 8081, 8001, 8002 and 8003 which is the cops one. Lol I'm using Medusa docker and its 8081 which is why I can only imagine why it can't connect with that one. In Calibre it gives me the ip of 172.17.0.8 port 8081

I have not been able to find a setting to alter the content server's IP address. My network range 10.1.2.X so a content server of 172.17.0.8 clearly won't work. I am presuming its a Docker issue as I can access a Calibre content server running on one of my local machines.
January 2, 20188 yr Is anyone getting an error when they try to install Calibre? I get a "The command failed" every time.

October 21, 20187 yr By chance is there an updated guide for setup? Wife has been asking me to setup for all her eBooks.
June 23, 20233 yr Thank you for this. This was a great help in setting up calibre to play nicely with readarr.
