If it is causing the issue, when parity check finishes, I intend to replace with 4TB, which means I'll need to upgrade parity as well... SOO... October 30, 20178 yr Community Expert Disk6 need to be replaced ASAP, if you want to replace it with a larger disk use the parity swap procedure.

October 30, 20178 yr Community Expert IMO the parity swap procedure is not considerably riskier than a normal rebuild, but it's composed of two parts, the parity copy and then the rebuild, so there's always a little more risk.
October 30, 20178 yr Author Ok so it's beating up Disk6, and parity is holding at 53.9% 2 hours.. Should I stop parity check and just replace 6 and have it rebuild? Or let parity continue to do its thing?
October 30, 20178 yr Community Expert Stop it, parity can't do nothing with a bad disk, if you're running a correcting check it can in fact corrupt your parity.
