(Solved) After replacing pci-e card now disks rearanged and Parity Disks show Disabled

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Following on from my previous post:-

Both the Parity drives are showing "Disabled" but the Data and cache disks are showing good see attached pics before and after ....

Also the after pic say that "All Data on this disk will be erased when the array is started", when I start the array it does nothing ....

Is it a matter of UN-attaching the disks, shutting down, reboot then re-attaching?

also Diagnostics and syslog attached

Regards

You need to re-enable both parity disks or if you they are mostly valid do a new config and trust parity, then do a parity check

Hi folks

Just a quick update:-

First thanks johnnie.black for your reply ......

I went the with stop array, unassigned both parity disks, start array (only data disks showing), stop the array, reassign both parity disks, start the array,

after about 12 hours of rebuild the array and parity disks now show all green .....
