Hi all,

 

just downloaded the latest version of unRAID to try out. Formatted the USB drive in accordance with the video direction off your site. Booted and logged onto "Tower". Web interface tells me the "unRAID Server - flash device blacklisted" in the header.

 

Never installed unRAID before so not sure why this is. There's no place to request a trial key as shown in the "Initial setup" video.

 

What are next steps? Thanks.

 

 

Did you grab the USB key from another old user?  Is the flash actually something like a CF card plugged into a card reader?

Some USB sticks don't have a GUID and get blacklisted. Try another brand/model.

 

And/Or, do you have another USB drive you can use?

It's an eight GB Dell USB, formatted in FAT32. Never been used for unRAID. This is the first time I've tried to install it.

 

Will have to bring another model in from home as all the ones I have here are Dells.
