eLicenser

Featured Replies

I have been trying to demo some software (Vienna Ensemble Pro 6) on a windows VM on my 45drives unRAID OS server. However there seems to be an issue with getting VEPro to recognize the eLicenser dongle that authorizes the software to run. The eLicenser control center recognizes the dongle (although only if it was plugged in before a boot of the VM), and the necessary license is there to run the software. So I was hoping I might find some ideas here, to try to get this all working. I should probably also mention that the eLicenser Control Center software will recognize the dongle however it will not preform a Maintenance run with the dongle plugged in and recognized (which is an online process that syncs the dongle with my online account to make sure all licenses are there etc.). Thanks for your help!

Hello all, I wanted to update this thread now that I have it all working. Jon from unRAID support suggested that I use a PCIe USB card instead of the onboard USB ports, and pass through that to my VM. It worked like a charm (once I figured out how to passthrough the PCIe card to the VM, great post on that can be found here
