Can I migrate from xpenology

I’m running xpenology on a hp gen8 microserver but don’t have any spare drives to save transfer data.

can I install unraid and just use my data as it is or would I have to format my drives?

 

I have approx 20tb of data so formatting would be a big no no.

    Hello and welcome -

     

    Unfortunately, unRAID needs a specific format for disks in order to add them to the array so you'd need some spare capacity to get the migration started.  If you have older/smaller disks this might be a good time to look at migrating to 8TB drives.
