Which would mean you have been running with your array degraded (no redundancy) since late December at least. So if you really had another drive fail there would be no way to recover its data.

SMART for disabled/emulated disk4 looks fine, but no extended self-test has been run.

And emulated disk4 is mounted.

Since we don't know why it was disabled you should check connections before rebuilding on top.

I'm running an extended test now. 18 hours in and at 40% for a 10TB drive. Is that expected?

Nope, unless the drive is also being accessed.

Reran the extended test and it completed without error
