Performance issues Passing File shares to VM.

Featured Replies

Before anyone gets upset, I have already read many of the posts in the UnRaid forums on this topic and have had no luck.  It may be because I am not using the cache drive like I have seen in the other posts I'm not sure, however I do want to have the shares exist on my array because I will be sharing a lot of data over my domain.  I want to keep the shares out of my VM for access to dockers without having to add them to my domain as well.  I have tried to use the domain features of UnRaid however since my controller is a VM in UnRaid I am unable to connect to my controller.  My final attempt is to allow the shares into the VM and have my controller handle access.  Now, without further adieu the problem.

I am setting up the shares and disabling the samba server on UnRaid and having my domain controller . So what I am doing is mounting the shares in my controller however my transfer rates over the Ethernet is ~32 MB per second.  I would like to get some help resolving this issue if possible.  If anyone has a suggestion that may be better then what I am doing I may be open to that as well.  See my configuration below.  As for my hardware, the cache drives I'm using are Samsung 840 Pro's and my regular drives are WD Red 4TB NAS HDD.  I do have the dreaded Marvell controllers which UnRaid says they can cause issues so that may be an issue here as well.  Any help with this issue would be appreciated.
