i have a supermicro x7spa-hf mobo.....3ware 9650se-8lpml controller card...chenbro 23212 chassis...4 drives on the controller have no details(name,serial,temp) all missing....the drive on the mobo sata is populating all details.....am i missing something?

The controller card needs to be set to use 'JBOD' and not any other RAID levels.

jbod is not a option....0,5,10 are my only options........

Then that card will not work for unRAID.

 

You might be able to flash it down to a general-purpose SATA controller card to get it to work.

The

9650SE supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50,

Single Disk, and JBOD.

no

a brand new disk is automaticly set to jbod in the 3ware bios......... but in unraid it still doesnt show the SMART data..........if i put a disk that has the unraid file system on it on the 3ware controller it shows up as a single disk and i cannot change it......
