November 18, 20178 yr I needed to check the appdata on my cache after uninstalling the "lets encrypt" docker. I deleted the "lets encrypt" folder from the cache because I noticed it was still there even though I removed the docker. Comcast went out and when it came back up I re-connected to my NAS and noticed that my dockers and VMs where missing (because they did not auto start). I have 2x 240gb SSDs running raid 0 in my cache pool so I figured that one of them died. But I noticed that I can still browse the cache and see that everything is still in tact. What did I do wrong? Here is my log file maximus-diagnostics-20171117-2119.zip Here are my drives: The files for my windows 10 VM appear to be fine Everything in the appdata folder look fine too But the VMs are not recognized by Unraid I stopped the array, changed the global share settings back to the default settings then started the array again. I even rebooted, no fix. Edited November 18, 20178 yr by smaka510
November 18, 20178 yr It's possible you have duplicated docker and VM images, search for e.g. libvirt.img and post the output: find /mnt -name libvirt.img
November 19, 20178 yr Author I gave up. I think your right about the duplication, likely from me poking around in the cache. i reformatted the cache drives as FAT32 on another computer. When I put them back into the NAS, unraid automatically reformatted them. I set them to raid 0 and re-installed the dockers. Took 4hrs to rebuild the plex library, but only a few min for everything else. My VM does all the sorting and renaming of my movies. I know better than keeping all my stuff in 1 place - the scripts that do all the automation run off the NAS itself. All is well know.
