Attached Drive - Cannot power / Cannot access drives

Featured Replies

Hello all FreeNAS convert here. I installed unraid on my old freenas box (which admittedly had been having some strange errors). No issues with install, installed a singular drive, ran a preclear over the course of 18 hours which came back successful. I then booted down system, installed my remaining 6 drives, and attempted to turn on the system. Immediately the system would de-power. It appears now that I cannot power on the computer with the drives connected. I tested it out in several ways and bottom line is:

Any time any of my 6 drives are receiving power, the computer will power off. From a cold start it will get power for a quarter second and spin down. If I plug a drive in while powered on it will immediately cut the power. This goes for HDD and SDD. I changed the power supply and the same issue exists. Potentially a short in my STA bus?

Additionally... I've taken the drives out and plugged them into my main computer. 5/7 of the drives no longer spin up..... At a loss here. Thankfully I had my non replaceable data saved on external disks but it appears I did lose about 3 TB of media which I can re-download. I have posted a quick build profile here to replace my hardware ASAP but if anyone has any idea what could potentially fix this issue i would appreciate it.
