November 25, 20178 yr I'm running unRAID version 6.3.5 and all my drives are still formatted as ReiserFS. Based on advice I've seen on the forum, I'd like to switch to xfs. I have a spare drive pre-cleared and available to add to the array and start the process of juggling files around. I've been reading the wiki on file system conversion : https://wiki.lime-technology.com/File_System_Conversion Near the bottom, it talks about a mirroring procedure, where step 10 is about swapping drive assignments. But, I think I saw elsewhere that this "trick" is not working on the latest 6.x releases. Can anyone comment on whether there are any known issues with using the mirroring technique on version 6.3.5? Thanks! Edited November 25, 20178 yr by kennelm typo

It still works for single parity, but note that you only need to do that if you need the data to remain on specific disks like it was because of include/exclude settings or other reasons.

Yes, it's absolutely vital to remember that higher-order parity behaves very differently from the XOR-based parity - XOR is both commutative and associative. So great care is needed when trying to juggle with the disk assignments/replacements.
