May 15, 201016 yr a fellow over-the-hill geek at the office sent me this earlier this week: "67 terabytes, under 8 grand" http://blog.backblaze.com/2009/09/01/petabytes-on-a-budget-how-to-build-cheap-cloud-storage/ when i saw this, a few things in how it is/was architected that made me think "hmm, the unraid crowd might have done this differently". despite the fact that i am not 100% sure about the custom case (why use punch-out fan orifices when they could have used a better design for finger guards?), it is still impressive.
