November 30, 20178 yr Hi - I currently only run one SSD drive so I don't know. Is the above possible? I'd like to separate activity like Plex transcoding from interfering with general activity (and vice versa). When - say - NZBget is unpacking, everything else can grind down for a while. I'm assuming that my SSD doesn't like too much concurrent activity, so figured on spreading stuff out across multiple drives. Wise or missed the point?
December 1, 20178 yr What are you doing that is grinding to a halt? Is it disk intensive? Or is it processing intensive. I was having a similar issue with my Windows VM becoming very laggy during syncing (and downsizing) Plex shows onto a tablet for travel. I excluded one of my CPUs from the Plex docker and that made a huge difference.
December 1, 20178 yr Author I *think* it's disk intensive. For example, if NZB get it unpacking a set of RAR files (which I'm assuming isn't processor heavy), my Plex interface drags or hangs. I'll do a few experiments over the weekend. I've just got my system on the bench to upgrade the chassis today, so this weekend will be pretty much unRaid...
