Mover.... not moving....... sync and file attrs errors?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Hoping you can shed light on my array please.

It's been working fine for ages but suddenly the mover doesn't want to move any files off the cache disc. It's still set to "yes" in the share settings and has worked well previously.

The syslog is returning errors I've not seen before about sync errors and file attributes. This chunk is the end of last nights move. The full syslog is attached. FWIW, full parity checks uncovered nothing, so I'm hoping the more learned can point me in the right direction please?

Many thanks,

Paul

Convert your disks from reiser to xfs, reiser has known issues with extend attributes, besides the other know issues, also it's a dead filesystem.

Thanks Johnnie,

Will I lose the cache contents in the process?

  • Community Expert

No, once you convert the 1st disk you should be able to move the cache data to the array.
