Transfer speed dropping to 0

Featured Replies

Hello all

A novice in a bit of distress here. I recently installed a new 8TB drive into my Unraid server (v5.0.6), ran through preclear and added the drive to the array. Whilst formatting the disc, there seemed to be a freeze and 8080 became unreachable. I used the terminal to restart 8080 and started to try to use array.

When I try to transfer data on to the array it initially starts with decent transfer speed, fluctuates, then dropping to 0 kb/s and finally losing the connection and erroring. I've tried writing from two computers on the network and my other unraid server running through the same switch is transferring fine.

I ran a Parity Check and it brought up a lot of errors ... though I'd wondered if perhaps it might not have done a parity sync with the new drive on the array at that point.

One other thing that I did that I wonder if it was a problem, was copying the Unraid setup files back on to the internal flash drive at one point (I was wondering if I had a corrupt Unraid installation when I couldn't add the extra disk to a drive slot. It turned out that I was missing a registration key to take me from Basic to Plus and the extra slots that brings).

Attached is a syslog and any insight would be incredibly useful.
