unRAID OS version 6.4.0-rc15e available

I will attach my diags when I get home as I've just remotely rebooted the server so the kids can use their VMs, but I'm having similar problems where W10 VMs are freezing and I can't force stop/Reboot etc from the GUI.

My VMs have been a bit temperamental since v14 e.g. freezing on reboot, but at least with v14 I could always eventually force stop although I'd have to wait a bit sometimes for the VM page to load.

I upgraded from latest stable (6.3.5?) to 6.4-rc15e last night, verified things were working, and then swapped out my mobo/cpu/RAM with an Asus ROG Zenith Extreme and a Threadripper 1950x. It was late and I didn't have time to mess with much, but I noticed a few things:

 - In GUI mode, at 100% zoom in the Firefox browser, the interface "hangs" off the right. For example, I can see the Logout, Feedback, Help, and Info buttons near the top-right, but the Log button, View column on the "Main" page, etc. I have to scroll to the right to see. I can zoom out in the browser to fit it all but then text is smaller than I'd like. I'm hooked up to a 4k monitor (TV, actually) and I don't know what resolution the unRAID GUI runs at but it's definitely not 4k, so maybe adjusting the resolution would help, if that's possible.

- The CPU cores are listed correctly on the "Dashboard" tab, but the checkboxes for them on the VM settings page are a huge mess (see attached picture). This looks the same in the unRAID GUI mode Firefox browser and in Chrome on my phone.

Probably all unrelated to the RC, but I've also found that the Dynamix System Temp plugin can't detect the temps for this mobo/CPU. HVM/IOMMU is disabled so I need to find the BIOS setting for that to get my Windows VM working again (and update the BIOS while I'm at it). Handbrake encoding is a little bit *slower* now than it was with the Intel quad core I was previously using even though the Dashboard page is showing all cores in use while encoding. It seems that I've got my work cut out for me getting this system working properly. Whee.

Unrelated to this RC. You'll need to install the correct drivers for your new MB to view the temperatures (see System Temp. settings).

Attached missing screenshot of the VM core selection to my previous post (layout does that on both phone and unRAID's GUI).

I don't know if it's possible to do a proper screenshot in the GUI. I did what I could with my phone camera. My TV says that the signal is 1080p. GUI fits Chrome on my phone just fine.

Your screen resolution is not high enough to fit all items in the header menu, this causes the "remaining" part to be pushed to the next row.

You can reduce the number of items in the header menu, e.g. "Users" and "Stats" can be moved, and the array utilization bar can be switched off.

Ps. How is your browser scaling set?

windows 10 gets auto reboot on the latest unraid os

Can any one help after updating my UNraid Server 6.4.0-rc15e I got this error when shut down my vms.

Same problem with VMs, rollback rc14...

Just roll back to 14 until its resolved. I had the same problem on two separate unraid servers. seems to be a problem with windows VM's only. see my post at the end of page one..

Good idea adding the "Device is part of cache pool" to the pool members but there's a little bug since the same appears on a single device cache when the array is started in maintenance mode.

Thanks for reporting. Fixed.

upgraded from rc12. no problems found. then i test if it can running stable with global c state enable, its crashed in 1 hour (i don't have a GPU installed, no place for it) then i tried it whit the RCU_NOBCS=0-15 command

It was some hours online before it crashed again.

So, i still disabled global c states, and that gives pretty good stability (it was stable 17 days on RC12 and it got longer if i didn't update it)

but ok, this isn't a Unraid problem, its a Linux/Ryzen problem.

Hoping to add the Tehuti 10G network drivers to the next release, I have a TN9710P that is recognized but doesn't have the proper drivers in UnRaid. The 'acooks/tn40xx-driver' repository on github seems to have the supported drivers for it and it looks like the linux kernel supports some Tehuti controllers but I am not sure the TN9710 is one of them.

Can you.guys try updating your virtio drivers in the guests you are using to the latest to see if that makes a difference?

I'm already using the latest? 141, On Server 2016. As others pointed out, unRAID wets the bed when I attempt to shut down the VM. Upon reboot, unRAID does a parity check.

Any word on the Windows VM issues? I do have a diagnostics file that was automatically generated, if that could be of use to you guys.

The vm page keeps not loading for me. Every other page is fine. Restarting the server fixes it. But after a few hours of inactivity the webui for the vm page just breaks for me.

Lol Aerowinder, funny.  Apart from changing your bed sheets simply roll back to V14, they will sort it at some point, I guess this is the ups and downs of RC and BETA software ;)

My OS X VM is not working after the upgrade, anybody with the same issue? Crashes when loading the UI, with some weird graphic glitches. Will rollback to 14 soon.

The Windows 10 VM is working fine, though.

I just booted my Mac os VM just fine. Haven't tried my Windows VM. Try rebooting the server?

Was forced to rollback to rc14

could not get system to be stable on rc15

tried whit and whitout rcu_nocbs=0-15

Asus prime x370-pro bios 3401

Ryzen 1700x

I am getting call traces on rc15. Should I try to rollback to rc14? I ran memtest which came back fine and also rebooted the system and got the same call traces again. About 40 of these show up.

Seems something between kernel 14.4 and Supermicro BIOS. I have the same issue with an X10SRA-F MB. So far all my VMs seem to work without issue,  can you check your VMs?

VMs appear fine.

I have two Windows 10 VMs that have been randomly locking up.  I had to force stop and then restart them.  I rolled back to rc14.  The diagnostics that were captured on reboot are attached.  I couldn't see anything in the logs that showed a problem.

mediaserver-diagnostics-20171210-2155.zip

My OS X El Capitan vm also stopped working. It boots with gpu passthrough and hangs on the Apple logo. VM worked fine in unRAID 6.3.5 but wasn’t stable ( gpu passthrough problems after ~ 4h of usage ). Had the same problems with win 10 but update to rc15 solved them. Now my win 10 VM with gpu is rock solid.
