If you google that it appears this is probably a warning message introduced by some programmer who thinks this feature of the driver should be implemented.  I've noticed more of that happening in the kernel (nag messages telling developers to update their code).  Probably this is harmless.

ok, thank you for the quick assessment and reply!

Just to provide an update to everyone with VM issues, we did track down a bug report that is affecting the 4.14 Linux kernel related to stability issues with VMs (particular when attempting to shut down or reboot the VMs).  We will have more information on this soon.  Please stay tuned.

Thanks for the update, I have had KVM hang from time to time since installing RC15e.

Do you guys need any more diagnostics dumps for the VM issue or anything else? I just haven't been using my VM but I could fire it up and make it crash to get a dump for you if it would help.

FWIW, everything else is working well. I've been rebooting a lot lately trying to get all my RAM working with the new motherboard, but it's been up for 39 hours now and nothing has exploded. :-)

are you seeing high usage on the an assigned emulator pin core? Mine pegs out after a short time at 90-100% and I think causing my vm's to hang.

Yeah, they max out their pinned threads then crash shortly after, just sitting at the desktop on the guest OSs
