JorgeB
IRQ16 was disabled, but It looks like it wasn't being used by anything critical, if you don't notice any issues ignore it, though a bios update might prevent them it from happening. Quote Link to comment
Gary489
I have updated the bios and still this issue shows up randomly. I have noticed this issue comes and go's every time i disconnect the VGA cable??? I think this maybe a grounding issue caused by the UPS?? I have got a USB isolator for the ups USB cable. and added a 2nd grounding cable. see if this fixes the issue. Cant wait for unraid 6.4 Edited December 23, 2017 by Gary489 Quote Link to comment
Hoopster
5-6 years (unRAID 5 RC) ago I had the IRQ16 disabled: nobody cared issue. I tracked it down to switching video inputs on my monitor which was shared by unRAID and my desktop. Unfortunately, with my MB and BIOS, IRQ 16 was shared with the PCIe card hosting some of the array hard drives. I could not get this IRQ assignment to change. BIOS updates, swapping motherboards, etc. did not resolve the issue. When IRQ 16 was disabled, performance on the PCIe-attached hard drives went in the tank. It took a reboot to fix it. My only solution was to attach a dedicated monitor the unRAID server to avoid the input-switching trigger that disabled IRQ 16 Many times, these messages don't mean there is a problem, although they are disconcerting and annoying. If you have not noticed any performance or functionality issues when the IRQ is disabled, you can likely ignore it. I'll admit, I am a bit OCD on issues like this and I hate not knowing why it is happening and how to "fix" it, so, it's hard to ignore sometimes. Quote Link to comment
JOduMonT
on a fresh install I also have, randomly, this message in my logs. after a quick investigation, and at least for me; it seams to be related to my SMBUS Quote cat /proc/interrupts ... 16: 100000 0 0 0 IR-IO-APIC 16-fasteoi i801_smbus ... which means is probably related to advance CPU C-States on my next reboot I'll try to only keep C0 and C1 and keep you in touch ref: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-cpu-c-states-power-saving-modes/ Quote Link to comment
noja
So I also have this popping up recently. I started to ignore it all, but then Fix Common Problems decided to show 8 in a row. I don't have any BIOS updates available and there have been a number of other issues lately that have all generally been ironed out. Should I be worried? manky-dreadful-diagnostics-20181203-1057.zip Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
3 minutes ago, noja said: This one appears to be working Yes, those work. There's an USB 3 controller using that IRQ, nothing else of importance, so if everything is working fine you can ignore for now, if you have issues with any device using an USB 3.0 port change it to another controller/HUB 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Krobbinsit
Is it possible for someone to look at my logs/diagnostics? Thanks in advance! Edited March 6, 2019 by Krobbinsit Quote Link to comment

noja
Sorry, haven't looked at your diagnostics as I don't really know what I'm looking for. After @johnnie.black noted that the issue for me was related a USB3 port, I ended up doing maintenance on bad sata cables and I think I switched the connected keyboard & mouse to different usb ports. Since then, I haven't seen the same notification. 1 Quote Link to comment
Krobbinsit
Johnie.black that was quick! It isn't in use and I actually was thinking about removing the extra network card. Thanks again! Quote Link to comment
Krobbinsit
Is there any harm leaving my log/diagnostic files here? or should I delete? Quote Link to comment
weirdcrap
If you checked the "anonymize statistics" box during diagnostics creation there should be no personally identifiable information in the diagnostics so it can be left if you want. Pappy
Hi guys, I have irq 16: nobody cared found on your server. Is it possible for someone to look at my logs/diagnostics? My motherboard is MSI Z97 Gaming 7 (MS7916) and processor i7-4790K without external graphic. I couldn't run UEFI virtualization with GTX1070. I will deal with it as follows. Thank you so much! pc-nas-diagnostics-20190611-2006.zip Edited June 11, 2019 by Pappy Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
IRQ16 is being used by a USB controller, as long as you're not having USB issues after it stops working you can ignore it, though a bios update might help. 1 Quote Link to comment
