Smart error while parity rebuilding

Hey guys

I have put a brand new 8TB in the server for parity this morning. I had re-purposed the old parity as a data drive two days before, so i was running unprotected for that time.

 

I couldn't seem to pre-clear the drive as the pre-clear menu couldn't show the drive information ie: firmware date,model number and such. As i needed to leave the server i stopped the array selected the 8TB for parity and started the sync.

 

Returning to the server 8 hours later all seemed fine, the GUI states the sync will take around 22hours to complete(total).

 

While using the server and checking logs some sort of hard reset has occurred recently? Being a new drive should i be concerned? The parity sync is still underway.

 

If someone has the time to look at my system log i would appreciate that thanks

    ata12 is your SSD, most likely a bad cable.

    Many thanks, its continuing to fault.

     

    Everything "looks" OK i will double check everything when powered down.
