I have read every single thread about fixing common problems, unraid wiki, cpu pinning, cpu pairing etc...but i just cannot tweak this to have a decent performance. windows 10. I have tried giving it 7 gigs of ram and 4. I have passthrough my all SSD drive with almost same results. Tried with hyper-v on and off Its seems like with any task my cpu load, memory load and disk load go 70-100%. I dont have the screenshot but even downloading a game from Steam my disk goes 100% with only 20mb/s and also my cpu goes 70%. I really want this system to work. Any help appreciated. I have run passmark and for cpu it gives me 3k-4k result when this cpu can go 6-7k. Only GPU seems to work fine and give good results, everything else is slow. You gave it half a processor, and your benchmark results show that of about half a processor score. so what's the problem there? did you put your domain folder in the array? because this isn't a passed through ssd: <source file='/mnt/user/domains/Windows 10/vdisk1.img'/> and if your domain folder is on the array, then that's why your disk chokes at low speeds. vm's should be on a cache disk, either ssd or spinner, or placed on an unassigned device/disk.

Thanks append isolcpus=2,3,6,7 initrd=/bzroot You assigned the vm to use 4 threads (vCpus). Your processor has 8 threads (vCpus). If you want it to use the entire processor, then you need to assign all 8 threads (cores) to the vm. Isolating cores via the syslinux.cfg just keeps unraid from using them. If you're not running much else, then you can isolate cores 1-7, leaving unRaid to operate on core 0.
