Disk in same slot "Faulty" again

Featured Replies

A few days ago I had a hard drive with the message "Faulty" (Disk 1)
I replaced the hard drive with a completely new one. Now after a few days, this hard drive is also "faulty"again. I rule out power problems. What could be the reason? I swapped the SATA port this time....
The diagnostics is before restart.

How is the disk itself connected to the sata port?

Through a backplate/hot swappable bay?

Directly via cable?

directly via cable like all other harddrives

Have you tried another cable?

For this rebuild i try another one.

SATA cables may be prone to crosstalk if tied together.

Depends on cable quality and source of EMI.
