tjames37 Posted December 15, 2017 Share Posted December 15, 2017 Hello, I have been trying to get the Elgato 4k60 capture card working and have made significant progress but I am hoping to get some feedback on the problem. The 4k60 shares some components with the HD60 Pro and as such I have made a patch to the kernel as described by tinimun in the following post so that quirk_no_bus_reset is applied to the card. I have also disabled PCI D3 power states by appending vfio-pci.disable_idle_d3=1 right before initrd=/bzroot. tjames37 Posted December 18, 2017 Author Share Posted December 18, 2017 The capture card is only one of two 4k60 capture cards out in the market and this one is less than half the price of the other ($400 vs $900 for the magewell). I'm starting to think I need to find/write a kernel patch to set the correct length of the VPD tag for this device as per the kernel log. It is also possible that this card does not have the proper VPD end marker, which could make things challenging. FYI device b3 is the PCIe bridge for the capture card.
