December 15, 20178 yr Hi unRAIDers, Currently I'm using 2 H310s on my current setup and I'm out of drive bays, so at some point I will migrate from the 4TB HDDs to 8TBs. Will the H310 work with drives 8TB and greater or do I need to consider an alternative? I searched online but couldn't get a clear answer... so I thought maybe folks here could share their experiences with their controllers and 8TB+ HDDs. Thanks. Edited December 15, 20178 yr by Joseph
December 15, 20178 yr My H310s are working fine with the Seagate 8TB drives. The only really major cutoff point for HBAs is 2TB, if it can support larger than 2TB then it should be able to handle upto Petabyte drives.

For some reason I was under the impression that 8TB+ HDDs might require a more robust controller in order to work. Good to know that's not any time soon. Thanks for your response.
